Applications for places at our Nursery are managed by the school and applications for places in Reception are managed by Tameside Council on our behalf.

Applying for a Nursery place at Poplar Street

To apply for a Nursery place, please fill out an application form by clicking the link below.

Our Admissions Policy is applied when processing Nursery applications (please see below).We offer 30 hour Nursery places or a choice of 15 hour AM or PM Nursery places. Pupils are eligible to start at Nursery the term after they turn 3 years old. Here at Poplar Street we have a 78 place nursery.

Applying for a Reception place at Poplar Street Primary

For Reception admissions we follow the co-ordinated admissions process managed by Tameside Council. You can apply for a place from November (every year), please go to the following link: https://admission.tameside.gov.uk/CitizenPortal_LIVE/Account/Login or go to https://www.tameside.gov.uk/admissions.
The school is then notified in April of pupils allocated a place for the following September.

Applying for a High School place

Applications for high school places must be submitted by 31st October every year. This managed by Tameside Council via an online application process, which can be accessed here.
